There is no right way to prepare this recipe because you can get so incredibly creative with all the possible toppings.  The health factor and gorgeous green colour definitely add a little something to Avocado Toast!  My preference is to enjoy it plain or with sliced tomatoes and/or crumbled goat cheese on top.  My husband prefers to top Avocado Toast with a fried egg.  The possibilities are endless.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 slice of toast (or bagel)

 

Directions:

  1. Mash the avocado with a fork.

 

  1. Add salt and pepper to taste.

 

  1. Spread generously over toast.

 

  1. Enjoy plain or top with sliced tomatoes, crumbled goat cheese, a fried egg or anything else you desire!
