Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 1 envelope rapid yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 cups all purpose flour
For the seasoning:
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 5 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
- Add the yeast and warm water to a mixing bowl.
- 10 minutes later, once the yeast has dissolved and the water is cloudy, stir to combine.
- Add the salt, sugar and olive oil to the mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and combine.
- Flour a surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes and form a ball.
- Spread the dough into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan or glass dish and place aside to let rise for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Once the dough has risen (it will have doubled in size), use a cooking spoon to make indentations randomly on the top of the dough.
- Place the olive oil into a small bowl. Brush the top of the dough with olive oil.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the dough.
- Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
