Making fresh guacamole is easy, delicious and enables you to customize the texture and spiciness to your liking. I often get my “sous-chef’s” at home to have fun mashing the avocados for me.
Yield: serves 2 to 4
Ingredients:
- 2 avocados
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
- 1 to 2 lime
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- Freshly chopped green chilies to taste (optional)
Directions:
- Remove avocado from peel and mash in a bowl.
- Add the diced onion, cilantro, juice of 1 lime, lightly sprinkle salt and add fresh ground pepper. Stir and taste to determine if additional lime is necessary as this depends on the size of the avocados used.
- Add freshly chopped green chilies if desired.
