Growing up, my parents owned fast food restaurants. My homemade hamburger is far better – sorry Dad!

Yield:  4 hamburgers


For the patties:

  • 700 grams lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp freshly pureed garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs

For the hamburger:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Desired toppings



  1. Preheat the barbeque to high heat.


  1. In a large bowl, place all ingredients to prepare the hamburger patties. Using your hands, combine all ingredients well.


  1. Take one cup of the mixture and form a patty with your hands. Place the patty on a tray and repeat to create four patties.


  1. Grill the patties on each side to cook.
