A snack on its own or also great tossed in a salad, roasted chickpeas are easy and simply delicious.  Toss in your favourite spices and bake, that’s it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

 

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients and toss to ensure the chickpeas are well coated.

 

  1. Place the chickpeas on a baking sheet.

 

  1. Bake for 35 minutes. Note:  If the chickpeas aren’t as crisp as you would like, crank up the oven to 400°F and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes.
